Aushon SearchLight Plus CCD Imaging & Analysis System

The Aushon SearchLight® Plus Imaging and Analysis System is designed specifically for quantitative chemiluminescent protein arrays. The CCD Imager is a sleek, desktop design that features rapid imaging (typically <2 minutes per plate) and a fixed-focus setting. Once the instrument is installed, no focus adjustments are required from one image to the next – making it easily shared by multiple users. Plus, automated calculations of image time make the instrument incredibly easy to use.

Specialized array software is included for accurate, reproducible analysis of both chemiluminescent and infrared SearchLight® Protein Array images. Aushon SearchLight Array Analyst Software is specifically designed to quickly and accurately locate and quantify each spot within each well. The software offers the flexibility to analyze both small and large protein arrays in a plate or slide format, and works with multiple imaging and scanning instruments.

The system comes preloaded with Aushon SearchLight Array Analyst Software for the acquisition and analysis of protein array images. A second copy of the software is also included, so you can save the image (tiff) files on a network or removable data device for further analysis at another work station.

Highlights:

  • Complete System: Imager, computer, array software and training
  • Fast: Generates 16-bit images in < 2minutes
  • User-friendly; Fixed-focus settingand automatic calculation of image time
  • Accurate: Customized array software locates each spot in the image, measures density values and calculates pg/ml values for the unknown sampels from standard curves
  • Compatible: Images can be archived for a permanent record of raw experimental data
  • Mantenance-free: Unlike fluidic array analysis systems, no daily, weekly or monthly maintenance is required

SearchLight® Array Analyst Software

Specialized array software is strongly recommended for accurate, reproducible analysis of both chemiluminescent and infrared SearchLight® Protein Array images. Without specialized software, it would be impossible to consistently find each spot and analyze the same area for signal intensity.

Aushon SearchLight Array Analysis Software is specifically designed to quickly and accurately locate and quantify each spot within each well. The software offers the flexibility to analyze both small and large protein arrays in a plate or slide format. It has been customized to incorporate standard ELISA analysis features, including curve fitting, calculation of pg/ml values, mean values, %CV (coefficient of variation), SD (standard deviation), and % backfit for standards. The software organizes the final data output by analyte and by sample, based on user-defined assay templates, making the information much easier to process. A simple export to Excel allows for additional graphing, analysis and sharing of final data reports. SearchLight Array Analyst Software is compatible with most instruments that will save an image as a TIFF file, but is specifically optimized for analysis of quantitative protein arrays.

Features:

  • Accurate: Optimized for accurate analysis of quantitative protein arrays.
  • Easy to Use: Standard protocols are easily created and saved. Auto alignment makes image analysis fast and simple.
  • Consistent: Mathematical algorithms and standard ELISA analysis formulas ensure reproducible spot-finding, spot measurement, and analysis.
  • Compatible: Works with multiple imaging and scanning instruments. Spacing information for images generated with SearchLight® Imaging Systems and infrared imaging systems have been preloaded into the software.
